Work of Francois Morellet 2

This is a continued post of the work of Francois Morellet.  We saw this show in Paris at the Centre Pompidou.

Work of Francois Morellet

These are photographs of the work of Francois Morellet ... continued from the previous post.

Serious art face right there.

Centre Pompidou, Paris

Paris has so many wonderful things to do that one becomes flabbergasted at how hard it is choose how you'll spend your time ... especially when it comes to deciding which museums to visit.  There are tons!  So, we just pulled out a map and it was like eenie meenie minie mo!  It works.

We chose to hit up the Centre Pompidou.  It houses the Musee National d'Art Moderne, which has the second largest collection of modern and contemporary art in the world ... over 70,000 works.  That is crazy.  The MOMA in New York has the largest collection.  (Who wants to go to NYC soon?) Me.

Musee National d'Art Moderne, museum in Paris.

Guess we picked the right place because it did cause me to ooh and ahh quite often.  So. Much. Art.

Sculpture outside the building.

Stairs are attached along the outside of the buildings.  Pretty cool views.

Unique walkways!

One of the exhibits was by Francois Morellet, a conceptual and minimal artist.  Here's a few beginning shots.  Neon lights!

Art at the Louvre in Paris 3

Wow.
These girls look like they have a story.

What would you do if these creatures were real??

I thought this statue was fierce. Love it.

Love it.

I wished this shot didn't come out fuzzy, such a masterpiece.

I did get a decent side shot.

Beautiful sculpture everywhere!

Amazing detail.

So lovely.

This was just insanely beautiful.

I almost thought this was a real person.

So mysterious.

This is stone, just so you know.

Marvelous, right?

Art at the Louvre in Paris

If you know me, you know I'm an artist.  I love art.  I love making it, learning about it, seeing it, talking about it, AND taking pictures of it.  So, here you go ... enjoy these beauties from other eras.

The art on this whole floor was extremely dated way back in history.
So, we were so fascinated being taken back in time.

As you may know, Jesus and Mary were the main theme of the time.

I snapped this especially for my friend Nicole ;)

Beautiful sculpture at the Louvre.

I don't think anyone owned clothes during this era, ha.

Steven's such a greek sculpture.
Much more to come!
