Breakfast How I Like It.

First of all, This is what I look like first thing in the morning.  Great hair, right?  Yep.  Still asleep most likely.

So, I get some coffee. I love me some coffee first thing in the morning.

Hmmm, still asleep.

So they keep sending out these little courses, in perfect timing, and very palatable I must say. And I love the fact that we seriously take our  t i m e .  I believe the owners used to own a restaurant in Paris, so they know how to present an enjoyable meal.  Local foods and so so good.

And, yes, we dined in the courtyard.  So fancy.

Beautiful B&B in Uzes, France

More photos of L'Albiousse because I'm quite obsessed with it's charm ...

Little quiet nooks.

Gorgeous dining room.

Hidden door ... but to where?

Hello.  I love these mirrors.

Cool lighting.

The little courtyard was a favorite hang out for us.  Talk about a little quiet place on earth with easy energy, it's here!

Just a side note:  this is not a place to bring kids, but fantastic for couples!  It is very romantic and a great rejuvenating place.  They do not have TVs in the bedrooms or radios, which we found quite refreshing.  They do have a little mini fridge stocked with goodies, a coffee and tea bar in room, robes, slippers, and other little pampering surprises.  A must visit!

We fell in love with Uzes.

Happy Steven.

All along our trip, when we had moments of relaxing and just soaking it all in, I'd try to be diligent about my travel journal ... but that's easier said than done kids.  BUT, I am now trying to recall Paris at the moment as Steven and I sit in our B&B's beautiful and serene courtyard.  We are now in Uzes, France and it is WONDERFUL here, like a fairy tale ... of medieval or renaissance time.  We are drinking a beer while being completely in awe of our surroundings and learning about the history of this small hidden treasure of a town.

We found this gem of a place, L'Albiousse, which I still don't know how to pronounce, and our stay was perfect!  Check the place out, I promise you'll want to go!

Probably some of the best sleep I've had.

Cozy craziness.

Jolly green giant, I love him.

Stone, stone everywhere. So cool.

View out of our bedroom.

Another view out of our bedroom.

Like I said, isn't it lovely?!  And the owners are brilliant and the perfect hosts!

Oh the Traveling

Traveling is so much fun.  When you have a chance, do it.  Actually, make today your chance, go and see what's out there.

We have officially left the beautiful city of Paris and now we are on a TGV train that is heading to Valence, then we hop on another train to Nimes, France.  Nimes is the closet train station to our destination, Uzes, France.  Once in Nimes, it's about a 30 minute taxi ride.

Side note on the train travel:  Every time another train passes us, it seriously jolts me!  Lots of speed and pressure happening around here. Wow.  I love all the beautiful pure white, cream cows in the pastures.  They really pop against the uber green grass and radiant blue sky.  There is so much greenery and crops and yellow flowers to see on our trip through the french country side!  But train travel is hilarious and I'm a pretty big fan these days.  Acting silly and enjoying the ride is what it's all about.

Anyhooo, next chapter of our little fun amazing blessing of a trip.  Goodbye Paris, Hello Uzes!

Pictures from this leg of the journey ....

Train travel is cool.  C'mon the US of A, let's get more trains!

Oh, hello Great Gatsby eyes.

Beautimous.

Why yes, L is for loser ... or lovely.

Our snoring, but sweet train neighbor.

I love the french country side, sign me up!

Obsessed with these white cows.

Oh look, a wee little village.

Nimes, France train station.

Just a little sign on a door in the bathroom of the train station.  Pleasantries.
