So the next day, we decide to buy passes for two days for an open bus tour around the city of Paris. We went with Paris L'Open Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour.
We are still feeling jet lagged (I know, tell me about it!) and don't know much about the city so we think this is a cool way to see the city, relax, have transportation, and enjoy! You get audio with it in your preferred language, hop on and off as please as many times as you want for two whole days! Throughout the city, they have stops everywhere on 4 or 5 different routes. When you ride, you sit upstairs on completely open air bus ... and no interferences either.
You plug your buds in, listen to the music and the history. They played, "This is a Man's World" by James Brown a lot, but in a French version, amongst other French songs. I wish I could find out who and what version that one was, grooving on it.
The rides were just lovely. Sunshine, fresh air, gorgeous views everywhere you looked. The weather was perfect! From a bus top, we were able to see all the "main attractions" in Paris ... stopping when we wanted to explore more. It was awesome and we've never done anything like it before, so definitely a good experience.
The buses were easy to spot around the city! |
Free earbuds and your choice of language at each seat. |
