I never knew how much I would appreciate water running through a city, well, until I started visiting them. How snazzy. This is the Seine River that runs through the heart of Paris and it is quite lovely.

The beautimous Seine River. |
And just in case you are wondering about the Seine, here's a few little fun facts for your liking:
- It is 482 miles long
- It starts outside of Paris, flows through it, and empties into the English Channel
- There are 37 bridges just in Paris alone and dozens more outside the city
- It's a important commercial waterway within the Paris Basin
- It's only about nine meters deep and used to be a lot shallower
And did you know that George Seurat's Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte (1884–1886) is set on an island in the Seine? I've always loved that painting but did not know that! Cool.
