Interior of the Louvre

This place was cool.  Check out some photos ...

So so lost in Louvre. Ha ha.

First, I have to tell you something real quick.

You will get lost in the Louvre.  Not terribly lost, but enough to keep it interesting.  You think you can be all savvy and make your way around with ease, especially when you are in a hurry. But, no. This place is insane.  It is insane.  I think it houses over 35,000 pieces of art or something, plus the grand architecture, so they've got to put it all somewhere!

We planned things like the planes, trains, and hotels of our trip.  But how we decided to spend all of our days was totally fly by the seat of our pants.  So, we didn't realize how wonderful, grand, and amazing this place was until we were already there ... and on limited time.

So, I suggest you take a moment to look at the Louvre's visitor guide ahead of time.  It will help you focus in on the areas you want to see most (if you will be limited for time like we were).

Ok, now some photos!

In one of the basements at the Louvre.

Grand architecture throughout!

History books come alive here, at least for me.

Sculpture everywhere.

It just keeps coming. Everything was beautiful.

Is this surreal or what?

The French sure know how to bling out a room, right?

This is a ceiling, yes.

Breathtakingly grand.  My camera could not capture the breadth of this room.

Massive.
